Born and raised in Japan,
Miki Fukai has worked as a fashion stylist, costume designer and womenswear designer both in London and Tokyo. After launching her '
Miki Fukai' range in January 2003, for Autumn / Winter 06 London Fashion Week she was awarded her third
New Generation sponsorship.
The Central Saint Martins' MA Fashion Graduate has consulted for companies such as
Top Shop and
Kickers.
From Spring / Summer 06, she has introduced a limited edition called '
Black Label', featuring specially produced vintage fabrics, displaying her knowledge of intricate hand craft.
